Portraits and paintings on historical and mythological subjects are central to her communication as an artist. Concentrating on facial expressions, characteristics and gestures, she seeks to capture the sitter’s essence and uniqueness, transforming the process of portraiture into a dialogue between the model, the artist and the viewer.
E. Pozharskaya uses traditional oil painting techniques and creates graphic works with charcoal, sepia and other materials. Her works have been acquired for private collections in Europe, Russia and China and selected for the collections of Repin Academy of Arts.
